Workshop organized by Marta Valtolina
Theater costumes define and identify the characters on stage, allowing actors to play a wide variety of different roles. In the modern era, artists experimented with creating new avant-garde costumes, such as Fortunato Depero’s armor costumes, which rendered the actors’ movements clumsy and mechanical. In this workshop, Marta Valtolina, Professor at the Academia di Belle Art di Venezia, and her students help families design and create their own costumes by transforming and modifying garments, fabrics, and accessories.
