The museum opens specially for teachers to present its new educational resources for the 2026–27 school year.

As Peggy Guggenheim recalls in her autobiography, in 1959 she purchased what she described as “twelve fantastic artifacts” from Africa, Oceania, and the Americas from the New York dealer Julius Carlebach, a collection she expanded throughout the 1960s.

On the occasion of the centenary of the French journal Cahiers d’Art, founded in 1926 by art historian Christian Zervos, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection presents a special installation dedicated to the renowned publication in the galleries of the permanent collection.

From September 12–20, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection takes part in The Venice Glass Week, offering free talks and a workshop for children.

On Thursdays, from 2 to 6 pm, the museum grants free admission to residents of the City of Venice and those born in Venice, as well as to students at Venetian universities.

“I Want to Be Free” is a podcast created by Chora Media and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection that tells the life story of the U.S. collector and her unconditional love of art.

The cultural program accompanying the current temporary exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to discover the beginnings of Peggy Guggenheim’s collecting through guided tours, workshops, and events at the museum.
