Glass Works in the Peggy Guggenheim Collection

The Peggy Guggenheim Collection takes part in The Venice Glass Week with a free 20-minute presentation about the glass works in the collection.

From September 9–17 at 3:30 pm, visitors will get a chance to discover the glass works on view in Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, from Claire Falkenstein’s gate, which greets visitors with its combination of iron and colored glass, to Egidio Costantini’s 23 sculptures inspired by drawings by Pablo Picasso. Also included are lesser-known but equally striking works, such as Jean-Michel Othoniel’s Les Amants suspendus (2006), or the sculpture by Japanese architect, Mikuni Omura, on view in the garden.
