On Thursday, January 18, 2024, visitors can explore the results of the scientific analysis and conservation treatmemt of from or by Marcel Duchamp or Rrose Sélavy (Box in a Valise) (1935–41), owned by Peggy Guggenheim and on view in the exhibition.

A unique chance to gain detailed insight into the work carried out in the conservation laboratories of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence, with Luciano Pensabene Buemi, Conservator of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, and the Opificio's art historian Renata Pintus, conservator Barbara Cattaneo, and chemist Andre Cagnini. Visitors will be able to meet them in the galleries of the temporary exhibition to ask questions and satisfy their curiosity about the interventions and research carried out.

  • The event is free with museum admission.
  • From 2 pm, residents of the City of Venice, those born in Venice, and students at Venetian universities are granted free admission to the museum.
