International universities or institutions are invited to offer positions in the Internship Program at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection as an integrated part of their courses.

The university can thus reward one or more candidates with an internship at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and include this collaboration in its own curriculum. The museum benefits from excellent candidates selected directly by their universities. Current collaborations are listed on the museum’s website. The sum of €1,250 a month for each candidate covers the intern’s fellowship as well as program costs and overheads.

The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation is open to collaborations with universities, local institutions and charitable organizations.

The Guggenheim UK Charitable Trust is a charitable foundation based in the United Kingdom which supports the work of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, especially of its Venice branch, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection.

The Trust aims to raise funds each year, in excess of its disbursements to the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation, in order to build a capital reserve from which to provide stable funding for the UK participants in the Internship Program and contribute to other capital projects of the Foundation, especially those that advance the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. We are very grateful to the Trustees for the time and effort they spend to promote the work of the Trust and the increasing recognition of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection within the UK: Lord Marland of Odstock, Gaurav Burman, Jackie Russell, James B. Sherwood, Melissa Ulfane, and Francesco di Valmarana.

In 2022 the Trust sponsored 15 students from the UK who came from a diverse range of backgrounds. The internship program delivers vital inspiration to young people as they start out on their careers in the art world and makes a lasting impact on their career development.
