Exhibition description:
This was the first exhibition of strictly contemporary art to be presented at the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni. The show comprised art by three artists who were born in Italy but lived and worked in the United States. Despite the fact that the artists, Giorgio Cavallon, Costantino Nivola and Italo Scanga, were established figures within the American artistic field, their work had rarely been displayed in Italy. This presentation thus set out to introduce the practice of these three artists and to promote awareness of contemporary art in Italy.
