A workshop for adults organized by Giulia Filippi and Virginia di Lazzaro.
Sewing is a simple gesture, an activity which is domestic but also “political,” as it expresses a will to keep things united. Friendship is sewn, as are time, landscapes, history, and stories.
A thread, a sparkling outline on velvet, tells the story of Venice, tying it to the present through new gestures.
During this workshop, participants will employ a simple sewing technique to shape relationships and places, creating a cartography of feelings.
