Christine Knapp leads members on a special promenade architecturale inside the sixteenth-century Palazzo Querini Stampalia, through the contemporary interventions of Mario Botta, Michele de Lucchi, Valeriano Pastor, and Carlo Scarpa. The tour continues with the exhibition John Baldessari: No Stone Unturned – Conceptual Photography, the largest retrospective ever held in Venice of this pioneer of conceptual art, on view on the palazzo’s refurbished third floor. Finally, participants can admire Giovanni Bellini’s masterpiece, Presentation at the Temple (c. 1460), recently back on view as the centerpiece of an immersive, multisensorial installation conceived by Izaskun Chinchilla, which redefines the experience between art and architecture, sounds, and perfumes.
