The Factory of Second Chances
The Factory of Second Chances

Workshop organized by Rebiennale s.r.l.
Two slots: 11 am and 2:30 pm

A workshop that explores how waste materials can be used for creative purposes through recycling, collaboration, and imagination.
Children and their families are invited to learn about the work carried out by Rebiennale, a collaborative platform founded in Venice by citizens, students, architects, artists, and activists that explores sustainable practices related to self-building and reuse of materials.

Based on the idea that what is seen waste can often become a resource, the workshop invites participants to explore new forms of creation and to look at objects and materials from a different perspective. Elements derived from exhibitions, installations, and cultural events, recovered before they were discarded, will become the raw material for new creations and small shared projects.

Through collective making, experimentation, and creative transformation, adults and children are encouraged to reflect on the value of resources, the relationship between art, the environment, and communities, and the hidden potential of the objects that surround us. A participatory design experience that invites participants to imagine new uses for existing objects, developing, careful observation, creativity, and awareness for a more sustainable future.
