Weaving poetry with Bonotto
Weaving poetry with Bonotto

Workshop organized by Fondazione Bonotto
Full day, more details to follow

A unique opportunity to explore the connection between contemporary art, the written word, and textile tradition in the evocative setting of the Fondazione Bonotto.

Children and families will be guided on a special visit to the Bonotto Collection, an important repository dedicated to 20th-century artistic avant-gardes. Through an immersive and engaging journey, participants will discover the poetics of the Fluxus movement and experimental poetry (concrete, visual, and sound poetry), exploring how language, sounds, writing, and everyday objects can be transformed into true works of art.

The experience will continue with an exceptional educational and creative workshop—serving as an introduction to tapestry weaving—led by master weaver Giovanni Bonotto. Together, adults and children will explore the interplay of threads, words, colors, and shapes, experiencing how the craftsmanship of ancient textile art meets the expressive freedom and research of contemporary art.

An activity designed to spark curiosity and foster intergenerational dialogue, rediscovering the value of handmade creation and the magic of transforming ideas, marks, and materials into a collective, tactile work of art.
