Peggy Guggenheim's Birthday Concert
Peggy Guggenheim's Birthday Concert

The members-only concert on August 26 celebrating Peggy Guggenheim’s birthday features the piano duo Pavel Kolesnikov & Samson Tsoy.

Known for their rare combination of interpretative depth and artistic imagination, Pavel Kolesnikov and Samson Tsoy stand out among the most original and captivating musicians of their generation. Both as solo artists and as a duo, they offer stimulating and engaging performances in the world’s most prestigious concert halls—including Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, and Suntory Hall—and establish intense musical dialogues in unconventional settings, such as the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and the Fashion Museum Antwerp.

Their debut at Carnegie Hall earned them a place in the New York Times’s "Best of 2024" list. That same year, their debut album, published by Harmonia Mundi, was included by Le Monde in “Nos albums préférés de 2024” (“Our Favorite Albums of 2024”). The album was also awarded the Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik ("German Record Critics' Award"), the Diapason d’Or, and was BBC Music Magazine’s Instrumental Choice.
