Paper Design: Paper Takes Shape
Paper Design: Paper Takes Shape

Workshop organized by Paper Project Venice by Anita Cerpelloni.

Paper carries a lot of stories: created in China, it developed over centuries, becoming a crucial tool for spreading knowledge and creativity. China and Japan also created the tradition of folding paper to create small artifacts celebrating special moments, known as origami. This ancient practice gave rise over time to new experimentations, leading to paper design: a creative language that reinterprets paper as material for building, designing, and inventing. Folds will create three-dimensional forms and surprising, as well as functional, objects.
