As part of the Art and Science Weekend at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, children aged 4 to 7 are invited to join this free workshop and explore the intersection between creativity and scientific principles.
Step into the captivating world of Marina Apollonio and explore the magic of kinetic art! In this workshop, children will engage with playful compositions of dots that shift and dance across the page, discovering the power of optical illusions. Using screen printing techniques and the dynamic principles of kinetic art, participants will create bold black-and-white prints that come to life in a collective flipbook. Together, we’ll watch as static patterns transform into mesmerizing motion—just like Apollonio's iconic art!
The Art and Science Weekend at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection is organized in collaboration with the Fondazione Golinelli. The workshops are led by Giulia Filippi and Virginia di Lazzaro, two artists who collaborate with the museum’s Education Department, and Chiara Ciliberto, a disigner who collaborates with Fondazione Golinelli.
