Max Ernst had an alter ego, half-man half-bird, named Loplop. Leonora Carrington often identified as a white horse, while Leonor Fini saw herself as a sphinx, symbol of enigma. Children are invited to discover the magical creatures that populate the exhibition. These often don’t correspond to society’s binary definitions, but exist as fluid entities that refuse to be categorized or labelled.
