Peggy Guggenheim’s collection of African, Oceanic, and indigenous Americas works offers children the opportunity to become familiar with objects created in far away places. The workshop will encourage them to broaden their horizons.

Masks have been present throughout the world since ancient times. They have been used in religious ceremonies, group celebrations, and the theater. Children will examine the African masks on view to understand their main formal elements in order to create their own versions.
