Guided Tours of the Exhibitions on View at SMAC

A guided tour of SMAC – San Marco Art Center explores and examines the exhibitions dedicated to two leading figures of twentieth-century art: Lee Ufan and Alighiero Boetti.

The exhibition dedicated to Lee Ufan, presented by Dia Art Foundation, traces the evolution of the artist’s iconic visual language with works ranging from new and historical paintings to large-scale installations and a new site-specific commission. Lee uses essential gestures and primary materials to create works that encourage contemplation and dialogue between emptiness and presence.

The show dedicated to Alighiero Boetti presents a significant selection of works created between the late-1960s and the early-1990s, highlighting his interest in duality, systems, and creative processes through a continual dialogue between order and chance. The exhibition traces the evolution of the Turin-born artist and examines the tensions that underpin his practice.
