A guided tours, organized by the Education Department of the Pinault Collection, explores the two temporary exhibitions dedicated to Thomas Schütte and to Tatiana Trouvé, respectively at Punta della Dogana and Palazzo Grassi.
The exhibition dedicated to Thomas Schütte explores the artist’s unsettling and ironic artistic universe through sculptures, architectural models, photographs, and drawings. With about fifty sculptures and over one hundred works on paper, the exhibition traces the German artist’s investigations from the late-1970s to the present, highlighting his unique understanding of the human form. Schütte combines technique, violence, and humor, creating characters that challenge reality. The exhibition is part of a series of monographic shows dedicated to leading contemporary artists.
Following this, the tour continues at Palazzo Grassi, delving into the exhibition dedicated to French Italian artist Tatiana Trouvé. Conceived in collaboration with the artist, the exhibition comprises new sculptures, large-scale drawings, site-specific installations, set in dialogue with works from the last decade. The exhibition explores the artist’s spatial and temporal labyrinths, in which dreams, memories, and visions converge. The guided tour leads visitors through inner and outer universes, exploring the interaction between dimensions and time. This is a unique opportunity to fully experience the work of two leading contemporary artists.
