Guided Tours of the Exhibitions on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore

11 am: Guided tour of the Venini: Light 1921-1985 exhibition with 20th century Murano glass historian Carla Sonego. The exhibition focuses on the history of Venini glassworks, particularly their production of small-to-large-scale lighting. The show exhibits various objects, created by different designers who either collaborated with or worked for Venini, illustrating different approaches to lighting between 1921 and 1985.

12 pm: Guided tour organized by the Fondazione Berengo at the church of San Giorgio Maggiore to see Chinese artist Ai Weiwei's latest works of art created in glass following a three-year collaboration with Murano glass masters.
