Guided tour of the 59th International Art Exhibition “The Milk of Dreams”
Guided tour of the 59th International Art Exhibition “The Milk of Dreams”

The Milk of Dreams exhibition takes its name from the title of a fairy-tale book written by Surrealist artist Leonora Carrington (1917-2011). The book describes a magical land where life can be constantly re-invented; a place where everyone can change, transform and become something or someone else. The show focuses at the artist’s fantastical creatures, and creates a dialogue between Carrington’s work to that of numerous contemporary artists. The theme at the heart of this dialogue is the representation of bodies and their metamorphosise, the relationship between individuals and technology, and the bond that connects bodies and the earth.
