The guided tour led by Elisabetta Barisoni, Head of Ca’ Pesaro and co-curator of the exhibition, offers a unique opportunity to explore the artistic universe of Gastone Novelli, one of the most influential figures of Italian postwar art. Barisoni’s expertise will guide participants through the eight rooms that make up the show, examining key moments of Novelli’s artistic investigations and the value of the recent donation that has enriched the museum’s collection. The tour highlights the powerful energy of Novelli’s early Art Informel works, the emergence of his highly distinctive idiom made of marks, words, and innovative pictorial solutions, as well as the series of works engaging with profound political and ethical questions that he presented at the 1968 Venice Biennale. Alongside his most celebrated masterpieces, the show is rendered even more special by a selection of recently rediscovered works, some of which have never been exhibited before.
