“Formidabile Boccioni”
“Formidabile Boccioni”

A restless artistic genius, one of the main figures of Futurism, Umberto Boccioni (1982–1916) dedicated his life to creating a new and contemporary visual language to express modernity in painting and sculpture.

Produced by ARTE.it Originals, in collaboration with ITsART, the documentary Formidabile Boccioni traces the artist’s career and examines his art through the figures who changed his life: Princess Vittoria Colonna, Giacomo Balla, Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, and Gino Severini.

The screening will follow an introduction by Elisabetta Brisoni, Director of Ca’ Pesaro International Museum of Modern Art, Karole P. B. Vail, Director of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, and the documentary’s director, Piero Muscarà.
