Double Meaning: Max Ernst and “Young Woman in the Form of a Flower”
Double Meaning: Max Ernst and “Young Woman in the Form of a Flower”

March's Double Meaning event is centered on Max Ernst and his creation of biomorphic forms in sculpture and other media.

In his bronze sculpture Young Woman in the Form of a Flower of 1957, Ernst merges human and vegetable forms in classic Surrealist style.

Participants will be able to engage in a tactile exploration of the work and join a sculpture workshop led by blind artist Felice Tagliaferri, which will help create a mental image of Ernst's sculpture.

Double Meaning events are free, but booking is required.
