Balla, Duchamp, Kandinsky, Mondrian, and Picasso: Five Takes on Reality, From the Fragmented to the Hidden Object

By Giovanna Brambilla, Head of the Education Department at GAMeC.

The lecture will explore how the five great masters have radically changed the relationship between the artist, the canvas and reality, and ultimately helped shape the foundations of contemporary art. Peggy Guggenheim was one of the first to understand these artists’ catalytic influence and collected many of their works, now displayed at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection.
