An afternoon to explore Edmondo Bacci’s artistic production, together with Chiara Bertola, curator of the Edmondo Bacci: Energy and Light exhibition and Curator and Manager of Contemporary Art Projects, Fondazione Querini Stampalia, Venice.
The tour starts at 4:30 pm at Fondazione Querini Stampalia, where an entire room has been dedicated to the Venetian painter. The works here are characterized by a fluctuating and unstable pictorial matter and passages of dazzlingly bright white paint. The tour then continues at 5:30 pm at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, which displays approximately eighty works by the artist. Ranging from the 1950s onwards, these are characterized by the generative force of color, a rupture of spatial planes, and by brushstrokes creating circular rhythms.
