Alessandra Montalbetti guides members on a daylong tour dedicated to contemporary art.
The tour starts at Ca’ Pesaro - International Gallery of Modern Art, to explore the recent refurbishment following the donation of 105 works of art by Gemma De Angelis Testa. These include masterpieces by Robert Rauschenberg and Cy Twombly, alongside those of Art Povera masters Pier Paolo Calzolari, Mario Merz, Michelangelo Pistoletto, and Gilberto Zorio.
The tour then continues after lunch at Museo Correr, in Piazza San Marco, where one of the galleries presents a monographic exhibition of Sicilian artist Carla Accardi. The exhibition focuses on the rarely exhibited Lenzuoli, which create a dialogue with the museum’s historical furnishings and present Accardi’s reflection on topics related to the Rivolta Femminile group, of which the artist was a founder alongside Elvira Benotti and Carla Lonzi.
