As of August 6, 2021, all visitors (but for children under 12 years old and visitors who are exempt from it) must present an EU Covid Certificate (Green Pass) to access the museum.
For non EU citizens, as per the July 29, 2021, guidelines of the Italian Government, certificates that are equivalent to a Green Pass (they must attest in either Italian, English, French or Spanish that a person has either been vaccinated against Covid-19 with a vaccine that is recognized by the EU, or recovered from Covid-19, or received a negative test result in the previous 48 hours) and are issued by the national authorities of the countries listed here are accepted: Albania, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia Herzegovina, Brunei, Canada, Hong Kong and Macao Special Administrative Regions, Japan, Jordan, Kosovo, Lebanon, Moldova, Montenegro, New Zealand, Qatar, United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (including Gibraltar, Isle of Man, Channel Islands and British bases in Cyprus and excluding territories not on the European continent), Republic of Korea, Republic of North Macedonia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, United States of America, Ukraine, Taiwan.
Visitors must present a valid ID together with the certificate.

  • Ticket purchase may be done exclusively ONLINE by choosing the entry time slot to the museum.

  • In order to avoid gatherings, toured visits of any kind (with or without a hired guide) are not allowed in the exhibition galleries during opening hours. This is due to the limited size of the galleries.
  • Individual and corporate members of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection need to reserve their free, timed tickets by contacting the Visitor Services office at or +39 041 2405 419 / 440.
  • For security reasons, to contain Covid-19, we kindly ask you to be on time to collect your ticket, otherwise entry might not be guaranteed.
  • Access to the museum is on a quota basis, but there is no time limit to the visit in order to ensure a quality experience. Please note some delays may occur despite your reservation or if there are backlogs in the galleries.
  • To reduce to the minimum this possibility, we might ask you not to spend too much time in the galleries. We thank you for your understanding and your patience as our main priority is to ensure everyone's safety.
  • The ticket office closes at 5 p.m.
  • The maximum number of visitors in the museum may not exceed 100 people simultaneously.
  • The museum will limit admissions to respect the number of visitors allowed.
  • Lockers are available and regularly disinfected; they replace the coatroom, which remains closed. Luggage larger than 35 x 35 x 55 cm is not allowed.
  • Inside the museum at least one meter of social distancing is required.
  • Face masks are compulsory inside the museum galleries.
  • Hand-sanitizer dispensers are available.
  • The Museum Shop located close to the museum entrance is open daily 10 a.m.–6 p.m. Closed on Tuesdays.
  • The maximum number of visitors inside the Museum Shop may not exceed 8.
  • Face masks are compulsory inside the Museum Shop.

The museum guarantees daily and frequent sanitation of the restrooms in compliance with the current regulations.

  • Restrooms may be accessed by one person at a time to avoid gatherings or situations in which social distancing is less than 1 meter.
  • Face masks are compulsory inside the restrooms.
  • Hand-sanitizer dispensers are available.
