As the great-granddaughter of the late Solomon R. Guggenheim, who established the Guggenheim Museum in New York, it is only fitting that Mimi Lawson-Johnston Howe continues a long family tradition as Vice President and now President of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection Advisory Board.

After graduating as an art history major, she spent a year traveling the world and then settled in New York City. Her first job was at Go America Tours, where she created itineraries for European travelers to come to the States for vacation.

A few years later, Howe decided to teach early education at the Princeton Junior School. Until recently, she was a Relocation Consultant for international business executives relocating to the Princeton area. Together with her husband and three children, Howe recently moved to Charleston, SC.
