How can I become a member or renew my membership?
Becoming a member of the museum is easy. There are two ways you can complete your subscription:
- Online on our website.
- In person at the museum Ticket Office during opening hours (daily, except Tuesdays, from 10 am to 5 pm).
How long does membership last?
All memberships last 12 months from their date of activation. The expiry date is included on the physical and digital card.
Can I lend my card?
No, your card is personal and non-transferable.
I have joined as a Be Dual member and chose to insert “Guest of” on the second card. Does this mean I can visit the museum and join activities with a different guest on each visit?
Yes, by inserting “Guest of” on your second card you can visit the museum and take part in activities with a guest of your choice. The same goes for Family Card and Young Pass + friend membership. However, Young Pass + friend guests must also be under 26 years of age.
How can I make sure I choose the best membership level for me?
It mostly depends on how much you want to support the museum, but for further information you can call +39 041 2405429.
I am a Young Pass + friend member; can my guest be over 26?
No, your guest cannot be over 26 years of age.
How can I become a member of the Guggenheim Circle/ International Patrons?

I have lost my Membership Card, can I still enter the museum?
Yes, you can enter the museum by giving your name and surname at the museum Ticket Office. We recommend you ask for your Membership Card to be reprinted, or for a digital copy to be sent to you via email.

All members of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection enjoy:
- Free and unlimited access to all Guggenheim museums (Venice, New York, and Bilbao).
- Admission price reduced to 9€ for members’ guests (for a maximum of four guests per visit).
- Monthly enews;
- Calendar of members-only events;
- Free admission to other leading modern and contemporary museums in Italy.
- 1 coupon for a free audio guide and a 20% discount at the Museum Shop (excluding books).
- 15% discount at the Museum Shop (excluding books) and at the Museum Café.
How can I get my free audio guide and discount coupon for the museum shop?
You will receive two coupons alongside your Membership Card attached to your confirmation email. Show your coupons to the Ticket Office and Museum Shop staff to get your audio guide and discount.
How can I get my complimentary catalogue?
If you are a first-time Be Individual, Be Dual, or Be Family member, you can collect your catalogue of the permanent collection at the museum Ticket Office. Be Family members will also receive a gift for each child.
How can I get discounts at the Museum Café and Museum Shop?
To enjoy a 15% discount, show your Membership Card (hard copy or digital) when making a purchase at the Museum Shop or when making an order at the Museum Café.
How can I discover upcoming members-only events?
Check the Calendar of members-only eventspage on the museum’s website to discover upcoming events. Check the monthly e-news and the museum’s social media accounts to always keep up to date.
Is booking required to join events?
Yes, all members-only activities require prior booking.
I have registered for an event; can I bring a guest?
Only Young Pass and Young Pass + friend, Be Dual, and Be Family members can bring guests to events.
How can I register my children for Sunday Kids Days as a Family Card member?
You can book one or more places for Sunday children’s workshops by calling +39 041 2405429 from Monday to Friday between 9:30 am and 5:30 pm. Please remember that places are limited.
I have recently become a member and have not yet received my Membership Card; can I still visit the museum?
Yes, of course, all you have to do is share your name and surname with the Ticket Office staff, who will print a “member ticket” for you.
I am a member; do I need to book my visit to the Peggy Guggenheim Collection?
As a member you can enter the museum directly, without having to pass through the Ticket Office or book tickets online. Just show the QR code attached to your digital card to the entrance staff. If you only have a hard copy of the card, ask the entrance staff for assistance.
I am a member; do I need to purchase a ticket to visit the Guggenheim museums of New York of Bilbao?
No, all you have to do is show your digital or physical Membership Card to the ticket office staff of the Guggenheim New York or Bilbao museums, who will print a “member ticket” for you.
I am a member; do I need to purchase a ticket to visit affiliated museums?
No, all you have to do is show your digital or physical Membership Card to the ticket office staff of the affiliated museums, who will print a “member ticket” for you.
Where can I find the updated list of affiliated museums?
The Affiliations section of the museum website is constantly updated. We recommend always checking the list before any visit.
The Peggy Guggenheim Collection Digital Membership Card
Is there any difference between the physical and digital Membership Card?
Absolutely not. The two cards have a different format but offer the same benefits.
I have become a member; when will I receive my new digital card?
You will receive your digital Membership Card via email within two working days.
I have a physical Membership Card which is still valid; can I use it to access the museum?
Yes, issuing digital cards allows us to reduce our ecological footprint, limiting the production of plastic and paper and lowering emissions involved in the delivery of physical cards. However, you can continue using your physical Membership Card for as long as it is valid.
I have received my digital Membership Card; can I have a physical copy?
If you prefer to continue using a physical Membership Card, you can request one by emailing membership@guggenheim-venice and collect it no sooner than two working days later at the museum’s Ticket Office.
How can I save my digital Membership Card on my smartphone?
Your digital card will be attached as a PDF file to your welcome email. You can save it in your smartphone’s “Download” or “Documents” folder, or in your smartphone’s wallet by opening the PDF file and selecting that option.
Gifting a Peggy Guggenheim Collection Membership Card
How can I gift membership?
Check the Membership section of the museum website, choose the level of membership you want to gift, click on “Gift,” fill out the form, and complete the payment procedure. The digital Membership Card will be sent to the person making the gift.
