The Peggy Guggenheim Collection offers a work-experience program at the museum which allows students attending Italian high schools to gain first-hand experience in the working world.
The project is part of the Tutto un altro percorso program, promoted by the education department of the Veneto Region, the Ufficio Scolastico Regionale, and the Fondazione di Venezia. Students have the opportunity to experience first-hand aspects of the workings of an international museum, such as interacting directly with the public and discovering the daily routines and tasks of the staff.
To participate in the project, teachers should collect requests by the students which explain their motivation for participating in the program. The 2020 deadline is December 2, 2019. Applications need to be submitted via email to email@example.com. Requests should highlight interests, talents, knowledge, and motivations of the students and will be examined by the Education Department of the museum.
Once candidates are selected, the Fondazione di Venezia will connect the teacher with the Peggy Guggenheim Collection to organize the timing and activities of the internship.
