The Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation invites international universities to become Academic Partners by offering placements in the International Fellowship Program at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection as an integrated part of their academic curriculum.

This unique collaboration allows universities to reward one or more students with a placement in the International Fellowship Program at one of Europe’s leading museums of modern art. This experience offers direct involvement in daily museum life, cultural mediation, and intercultural exchange within a dynamic and international environment.

Universities currently partnering with the program select and endorse their own candidates, integrating the fellowship into their course offering.

The Guggenheim UK Charitable Trust is a charitable foundation based in the United Kingdom which supports the mission of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation and of its Venice branch, the Peggy Guggenheim Collection.

The Trust aims to raise funds each year in order to build a capital reserve from which to provide stable funding for the UK participants in the International Fellowship Program and contribute to other capital projects of the Foundation, especially those that advance the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. We are very grateful to the Trustees and other UK donors for the time and effort they spend promoting the work of the Trust and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation.

In 2024, the Trust sponsored 16 students from the UK who came from a diverse range of backgrounds. The International Fellowship Program delivers vital inspiration to young people as they start out on their careers in the art world and makes a lasting impact on their career development.
