Drawing the Guggenheim is a global drawing session for an audience from 0 to 99 years of age, with or without knowledge or experience, jointly presented by the Guggenheim museums in New York, Venice and Bilbao, on the occasion of the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao’s 20th Anniversary.
On Sunday October 15th from 10 am, visitors to all three museums will have the opportunity to explore the architecture of the museum buildings through a variety of activities offered to the public, such as collective drawing sessions, workshops and guided tours. Visitors can share their experiences on social networks using the hashtag #DrawingTheGuggenheim.

All museum visitors will be informed about Drawing the Guggenheim, an initiative jointly realized within the Guggenheim network. All visitors will receive a pencil and paper to sketch their favorite spot at the Palazzo Venier dei Leoni. Visitors will be invited to take photographs of their drawings and share them on Social Networks with the hashtag #DrawingTheGuggenheim.

Workshop for children. The Palazzo Venier dei Leoni is an unfinished palace better known as the “palazzo non finito” since it has only one floor despite the original design, conceived by the architect Lorenzo Boschetti, having five. Let’s become architects for the day, completing the project and then realizing a 3D model together!

Let’s discover Palazzo Venier dei Leoni. Free guided tours on the history of Palazzo Venier dei Leoni, the location of the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. Participants will discover the history of the building, from its creation to the present day, focusing on the period during which Peggy Guggenheim made it her home.

Drawing Session

Architectural life drawing classes from IUAV – the University of Architecture of Venice, the Accademia di Belle Arti and Venetian Art High Schools have been invited to join a free drawing session inside the exhibition spaces of the permanent collection, in the garden and on the museum terrace on the Grand Canal.
